Ori Bernstein
Poet Ori Bernstein is the author if 13 books of poetry,
including two collections, Shirim Nivharim, 1962-1982 [1985], and Shirim,
1962-2002 [2004]. His poems are widely translated. Recently he published a
novel: Safek Hayim [2002], and a book of essays on poets and poetry: Isuk bein
Haverim - Masot al Shira [1998].
After years of practicing law and industrial management,
Ori Bernstein has begun a new career in academia. He is now a professor of
Hebrew literature at Ben-Gurion University, where he heads the MA program for
creative writing.
