A Moment in Time: Radical Feminism and Jewish WomenJOYCE ANTLERSunday, March 8, 20093:00 p.m.53 Washington Square SouthScreening Room![]() In honor of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, Professor Joyce Antler explores Jewish women’s participation in the radical feminist movement of the late 1960s and 1970s. Why, despite their outstanding contributions, have these women remained historically invisible? How should the narratives of feminism, and Jewish activism, be rewritten to include them? Joyce Antler, 2008-9 Research Fellow at the Goldstein-Goren Center of American Jewish History at NYU, is the Samuel Lane Professor of American Jewish History and Culture at Brandeis University. She is the author or editor of ten books, including The Journey Home: How Jewish Women Shaped Modern America, and You Never Call! You Never Write: A History of the Jewish Mother.
